Brittney & Thacker + Internship!

Guys – I’m so pumped! A few weeks ago, I started working with Jessica Christine Photography, Jessica is a wedding and family photographer here in Austin. I get to help Jessica on all kinds of different photography shoots – which are always so fun – and she is totally opening up her business to let me see and help with all the ins and outs of a photography business.

The first shoot that I was able to help Jessica with was Brittney & Thacker‘s engagement session on South Congress. Brittney & Thacker were an awesome couple, they were sweet and fun and perfect for my first session with Jessica. So glad I got to be there!

These are my friends Kyle & Haley with their dog Stormy. Love getting to spend time with these guys so much, much less take photos of them last fall with their pup!

Michael + Lindy

Back in November, Clay & I jumped in the car with our friends Stephen & Taylor and made the – what has become somewhat of a pilgrimage for Austinites – trip out to the Trans-Pecos for our good friends Michael and Lindy’s wedding. I was so glad that took my camera (like it was even a question) and took these shots during the rehearsal. Loved so much that we were able to be there with them at the beginning of their marriage!

Last spring semester – yep, still measuring time by semesters – my sister-in-law Rachel came home to Texas for a few days and brought her camera to Austin to take a few photos for the photography class she was taking back at school. So, of course, we hit up the Greetings from Austin mural. Luckily, Rachel wasn’t the only one who brought a camera and I snagged a few pics of her beautiful smile.

Way back in February, I drove down to Houston and took some engagement shots of my good friends Taylor & Stephen. These two have been a blessing to Clay and I in more ways than I can count & I’m so excited that they only live 15 minutes away now instead of 3 hours!

p.s. their german/beer themed wedding was awesome. even though i’m sad i didn’t get to take pictures of all their thoughtful details, i’m so glad I got to just enjoy celebrating the beginning of their marriage!

summer graduations

Clay and I got to be apart of two huge graduations this summer, celebrating two of our favorite ladies.

My sister graduated from high school (ah so weird!).

My sister-in-law graduated from college in Nashville and we got to join in on the festivities.

Well here goes nothing, I’m diving into the world of photography. I hope the fact that I have to hold my nose underwater isn’t telling of how this is going to go!
